Your Farm, Your Family and Vision for the Future
Clean, comfortable and convenient. Safe and efficient. Years ago, that would not have likely been the way a beef feeders/finishers would describe their beef feeding facility. Nor is it likely that some producers still can say that. But those are the words that Clark Stoller of Gridley, Illinois, uses when talking about his family’s High Tower Farms beef monoslope facility.
Summit Livestock Facilities’ professionals worked directly with the family to learn about their specific needs, their vision and about what was driving them to build a monoslope facility. They had some specific goals for their own family and for the farm. They wanted a building that would help them in “building” High Tower Farms’ next generations. The family members needed to make the facility efficient enough that they could maintain off-farm employment. The facility needed to be “smart” enough to mitigate risks and avoid challenges; from the big things like manure management, to issues such as managing birds, airflow, and keeping snow off the cattle. They wanted rate of gain that was reliable and efficient.
Choosing to build a livestock facility is a big choice that influences you and your operation, your family and your farm’s long-term viability. Summit Livestock Facilities takes that very seriously.
This family’s story provides some great illustrations of specifically what it is that Summit Livestock Facilities does differently when working with our customers. Listening is one of the most important elements. First, we need to understand your needs, your family’s goals and objectives. We want to ensure we are working together for the right reasons and toward the best solutions. Our ability to help you wrestle with all of those issues in a wholistic way sets the stage.
When you’re making the choice, the investment, we work with our customers to help anticipate and address the challenging issues you face today and those that could threaten the operation in the long-term. It’s that deep communication that needs to occur to make the building work best for this generation and the next.
