Summit Livestock Facilities Provides Valuable Information at 2013 University of Minnesota Cattle Feeder Days
Since 1958 the University of Minnesota Extension as offered its annual cattle feeder days as part of its outreach to agriculture in Minnesota.
And for the last 20 years Alfredo DiCostanzo and the University of Minnesota beef team have made these meetings something Minnesota cattlemen look forward to every year.
This year’s agenda included:
Monoslope feeding facilities considerations
Value of manure as fertilizer: feedlot design and management considerations
Incorporating forages into preconditioning programs
Considerations for drylot preconditioning programs
The meetings took place in Morris Laverne Tracy and Rochester Minnesota on December 17th 18th and 19th.
