Open House, Open Mind
Sometimes it takes years to plant the seed of an idea or dream, to get it to germinate and to get the conditions right for that idea to grow into reality. But you have to start to make things happen! Internet resources, pamphlets, etc. all help us in our research of what could be, but sometimes, you need to see it in person to gain perspective and understanding.
Summit Livestock Facilities has welcomed thousands of producers to our open houses across the Midwest. These events provide producers the opportunity to walk through a facility, talk with the producer and/or family members of the operation about the specifics and functions the building allows. Often, members of livestock organizations are present to provide insights and ideas. Local, county or state leaders are frequently attendees, recognizing the contributions of the area’s livestock producers to the region. And most importantly, it allows neighbors and others to have a frank conversation about livestock production options.
Our open houses allow for an open mind approach. It’s about considering options together and getting started to germinate your own ideas as you nurture them into reality.
Our Open House events continue to grow in popularity as producers look for ideas and answers the facilities offer:
- Efficiency and improved animal performance
- Safety and time optimization for producers
- Opportunity to invest for the future generation
An open house is your opportunity to see the facility scale, scope and size. It gives you a chance to consider how you might like to make things different for your purposes. It allows you a chance to talk with the producers who have invested in the facility and learn how it provides specific advantages to them and their families.
We are pleased that our customers, these producers, are willing to share and show others all about their facilities. We are proud to be a partner in producing protein in an economical, sustainable and humane manner, for today’s generation and for the future.
