More than 250 Customers attend 2014 Form-A-Feed Beef Seminar
It was a great pleasure for Summit Livestock Facilities to sponsor and exhibit at the 2014 Form-A-Feed beef seminar. We were able to connect personally with several producers with a high level of interest in feeding cattle indoors.
Most of all we learned a great deal from the many informative presentations. For example Dr. Brian Dorcey’s presentation about whose health and health in the feedlot included many interesting points such as the importance of integrating a footbath into the feedlot design. Dr. Grant Crawford’s presentation on the good the bad and the ugly of fermentation was also very interesting. And we profited much for all of the comments on the four-person Packer panel. Carl Babler’s presentation on feeding cattle in a global market really brought home the importance of good stockmanship and stewardship of feeding in an expanding global population. And finally Andrew Nesseth brought us up-to-date on the latest feedlot regulations and manure management strategies including some new and interesting information regarding the fertilizer value of manure.
We were glad to have attended and sponsored the event and give it a 10 out of 10 for value and relevance in this ever-changing beef industry.
