Interest in Summit Monoslope Beef Barns Ran High at the 2014 Iowa Cattlemen’s Association Annual Convention
If you ask Summit Livestock Facilities representative Ed Leman what he likes best about his position with our company he would probably answer “Connecting with producers and helping them realize the benefits related to indoor cattle feeding”.
With that said Ed was certainly enjoying his time at the 2014 ICA Convention. It seemed that whenever the convention meetings and presentations were not occurring there was a steady stream of interested cattlemen visiting the Summit Livestock Facilities exhibit.
This year our booth space was the largest at the show and we hosted more visitors than we have in previous years. While the reasons producers are considering feeding cattle indoors may vary greatly we noticed more cow-calf operators looking to feed out their calves themselves rather than sell them as feeder calves.
We have seen this trend in other states and are gearing up to facilitate their needs with new products and facilities designs. Based on the interest we saw at the ICA convention and at the other cattlemen's association's meetings 2015 will be a very busy and very exciting year!
