Illinois Beef Expo – Cold Weather. Warm Reception!
The wind chill readings outside the Illinois State Fairgrounds may have been below zero on opening day of the Illinois Beef Expo but the interest in feeding cattle indoors in a Summit Livestock Facilities cattle barn was “red hot”.
This year we saw more interest on the first day of the beef expo than during the entire show last year! So we’re very pleased with the response we received.
One of the factors impacting the success of Summit Livestock Facilities is the increasing number of buildings we have constructed in recent years. The more people who see our products the more interest we see.
This year the well-established cattle feeders are looking for information on larger slat-over-pit buildings while cow/calf farmers are looking for smaller 100 to 200-head barns to finish some of the feeder calves they are producing.
In any event we are seeing ongoing strong interest in feeding cattle indoors and look forward to sponsoring the Illinois Cattle Feeders Day in Macomb Illinois this coming March 5th. Click here for more information on the March 5th Illinois Cattle Feeders Day.
