Catching Up With “Old Friends” In Minnesota
Our participation in the Minnesota Cattlemen's Association 2014 annual convention was a great opportunity to catch up with old friends and make new acquaintances. Old friends included Bob McCan NCBA president who attended the convention and presented during the opening evening's festivities.
We especially enjoyed the entertainment provided by Baxter Black cowboy / poet as well as the interesting review of governmental and regulatory issues provided by Bruce Kleven MSCA lobbyist.
Most of all we appreciated the warm reception we received from the many beef producers who visited our exhibit to express an interest in indoor cattle feeding opportunities with Guy Rusche the Summit Livestock Facilities Livestock Specialist in South Dakota and Minnesota.
This year we noticed a relatively high level of interest in some of our larger facilities. In addition we met with a number of producers who wanted to find out more about the new Summit Livestock Facilities 100-Head Beef Barn; a new and increasingly popular monoslope beef barn concept designed specifically for small to medium-size cattle finishing operations.
We really appreciate the outstanding job all the officers and staff of the Minnesota Cattlemen's Association did in organizing this year's convention.
